How is the YGS score calculated?
The YGS score is calculated by weighting the nets from Turkish (40 questions), Social Sciences (20 questions), Mathematics (40 questions), and Science (20 questions) according to the selected score type. The formula Net = Correct - (Incorrect/4) is used.
Is the YGS exam still administered?
No, the YGS exam was discontinued in 2018 and replaced by the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) system. The YKS system consists of TYT and AYT sessions. This calculator is for those who want to calculate old YGS scores as a reference.
What is the difference between YGS score types?
YGS had 6 different score types: YGS-1 and YGS-2 were Quantitative-weighted, YGS-3 and YGS-4 were Verbal-weighted, and YGS-5 and YGS-6 were Equal Weight scores. Different subject weights were used for each score type.
