Frequently Asked Questions

How is the weighted grade point average (GPA) calculated?

GPA is calculated using the formula: Total (Credits x Letter Grade Value) / Total Credits. Each course grade is multiplied by its credit value and the sum is divided by total credits.

What is the difference between GPA and CGPA?

GPA (Grade Point Average) is the average across all semesters. CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) means the same thing. Semester GPA refers to the average of a single semester only.

What GPA is required for graduation?

Most universities require a minimum GPA of 2.00 (CC average) for graduation. Some departments may set this threshold at 2.50 or 3.00.
