When does KYK loan repayment begin?
KYK loan repayment begins 2 years after graduation. Interest continues to accrue during this period. The first installment is paid in January of the 2nd year following graduation. Deferment may be available for military service or graduate studies.
Can KYK loan debt be forgiven?
Under certain conditions, KYK debt may be forgiven: for disabled graduates (40% or more), deceased students, and some disaster victims. Outside of these, discounted payment opportunities may be offered during general amnesty or restructuring periods.
How is KYK loan repayment interest calculated?
KYK loan repayment interest is calculated based on the total amount borrowed at the determined annual rate. The interest rate is updated annually based on CPI. Interest also accrues from graduation to the start of repayment.
