Frequently Asked Questions

How is square meters calculated?

The square meters of a rectangular area is found by multiplying the width by the length. Formula: Area (sqm) = Width (m) x Length (m). For example, a room 4 meters wide and 5 meters long has an area of 20 sqm.

How is the number of tiles calculated?

The number of tiles needed is found by dividing the total area by the area of one tile. For example, for a 20 sqm room with 30x30 cm (0.09 sqm) tiles, you need 20/0.09 = 223 tiles. It is recommended to add 10% extra for cutting waste, so 245 tiles.

What should be considered when choosing tile size?

Large tiles (60x60 cm) in small rooms make the space look bigger. Small tiles (30x30 cm) in large areas add detail with more grout lines. Cutting waste may be higher with large tiles. Non-slip surface tiles should be preferred for bathrooms and wet floors.
