Volumetric weight (dimensional weight) is a weight unit determined by the volume a package occupies. Formula: Volumetric Weight = Width (cm) x Length (cm) x Height (cm) / 5,000. Shipping companies use whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight, for billing.

Shipping costs are determined by the greater of the package's volumetric weight or actual weight. Additionally, shipping distance, carrier company, delivery type (cash on delivery, same-day delivery, etc.), and additional services also affect the price. Prices in this calculator are estimates.

On e-commerce sites, free shipping is usually offered above a certain order amount. The shipping cost is covered by the seller. On some platforms, free shipping is valid up to a certain volumetric weight or actual weight limit; additional charges may be requested for shipments exceeding this limit.
