What are the requirements for retirement?
There are 3 basic requirements for standard retirement: age (women 58, men 60), premium days (7,200 days / 25 years), and insurance period (25 years). All three conditions must be met simultaneously.
How are premium days calculated?
For each month of full-time work, 30 premium days are earned. Annually this is 360 days, but in practice an average of 240 working days per year is accepted as premium days. You can check via the SSI e-Government portal.
What is EYT (Early Retirement Age Issue)?
EYT covers individuals who started insurance before September 8, 1999, but could not meet the age requirement. With the law enacted in 2023, these individuals can retire without the age requirement.
