Passport applications are made at provincial/district population offices or at Turkish consulates abroad. You need to make an appointment through e-Government before applying. Biometric photo is taken at the population office during the application.

For lost or stolen passport renewals, the duty fee is applied with a 50% surcharge. This regulation was made to increase passport security and deter loss reports.
