Middle School Grade Calculator

In middle school, the course grade is calculated by taking the arithmetic average of written exams, oral (class participation) grades, and project/performance assignment grades. All grades carry equal weight.

According to MoE regulations, 2 or 3 written exams are given per semester depending on weekly class hours. Courses with 1-2 hours per week have 2 exams, while courses with 3 or more hours have 3 exams.

In middle school, there is no direct grade retention policy. However, a student may be held back by the teachers' council decision if they exceed the absence limit or fail all courses.
