IELTS Score Calculator

The overall IELTS band score is calculated by averaging the Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking section scores. The average is rounded to the nearest 0.5. For example, a 6.25 average rounds to a 6.5 band score, and a 6.1 average rounds to a 6.0 band score.

Requirements vary by university, but generally undergraduate programs require 6.0-6.5, master's programs require 6.5-7.0, and prestigious universities require 7.0+ band scores.

The IELTS score is valid for 2 years from the exam date. After this period, the score loses its validity. Some institutions may not accept IELTS scores older than 2 years.
