How is the grade average calculated?
The grade average is calculated by multiplying the midterm score by the midterm weight and the final score by the final weight, then summing them. The common ratio is 40% midterm + 60% final. If a make-up exam score exists, it replaces the final score.
What is a make-up exam?
A make-up exam is a second exam opportunity given to students who fail the final exam. The make-up score replaces the final score and the average is recalculated.
What is the passing grade?
At most universities, the passing grade is set at DD (60 points) or CC (70 points). At some universities, DC (65 points) may also be sufficient depending on the overall GPA.
