Universities generally apply a 25-30% absence limit. This means attending 70-75% of total class hours is mandatory. This limit may vary from university to university.

A student who exceeds the absence limit loses the right to take exams and fails the course due to absenteeism (NA grade). In this case, the course must be retaken.

At most universities, medical reports are accepted as excused absences but are still counted in the absence total. Some universities deduct reported days from absences. Check your university's regulations.
