Frequently Asked Questions

What is AGI (Minimum Living Allowance)?

AGI is a tax deduction from income tax based on the employee's marital status and number of children. It provides a tax reduction of 15% of the base calculated on the annual gross minimum wage, increasing the net salary.

How are AGI rates determined?

The base rate is 50% for single employees, 60% for married employees with a non-working spouse, and 50% for married employees with a working spouse. An additional 7.5% is added for the first and second child, and an additional 5% for the third and subsequent children.

Is AGI paid to every employee?

AGI only applies to salaried employees (4/a insured). Self-employed individuals, employers, and independent workers cannot benefit from AGI. Additionally, the employee must submit an AGI declaration to the employer.
